fyeaheasterneurope:

Vintage Latvian posters and advertisements. From the early decades of the 20th century.

I was so struck by the one on the bottom left that I ran the text through Google Translate, which came up with “venereal diseases ravaged the family fortune”. I am officially intrigued. Any Latvian speakers out there who can confirm or deny that translation?

Edit: Translation is confirmed by spiffytie. \o/
